Teddy's

15 FAMILY MEMBERS MET AT TEDDY'S FOR DINNER, MADE RESERVATION THE DAY BEFORE. WE WERE SEATED, SERVED AND ABLE TO HAVE A WONDERFUL DINNER WITH SUPER APPETIZERS AND EXCELLENT SERVICE, AS ALWAYS. SURE WISH THERE WAS ONE IN FLORIDA! ALL OF US ENJOYED OUR VISIT AND DINNER TOGETHER. HOORAY FOR TEDDY'S AGAIN 1st,i want to say that we love Teddy's-from all u can eat shrimp nite right down to the house dressing!we"ve celebrated all our"special" occassions there for probably 15 yrs.but,on mon.9-20,we brought relatives out to celebrate their anniversary & I must say I was really embarrassed by the VERY poor service we received.our waitress was very inadequate and since i've been waitressing myself for over 20 yrs,i feel qualified to make that judgement.our meal took nearly 50 min.to arrive & it was cold.Shrimp is NOT good cold.it was nearly another 20-25 min.until she returned to check on us & to see if we wanted more shrimp(of course we did!!!)we were there nearly 2 hrs altogether & couldn't even have any of the luscious desserts from the cart since we had another engagment to attend.Since you have an impeccable reputation for superb dining,i thought you might want to know that it's being over-shadowed by poor service. Sincerely,rose walker The food is great and there are daily specials to choose from. However, the restaurant is due for a makeover. Don't sit in many of the booths because they are cramped (not enough room for the stomach) or the seats have lost their original comfort. One tends to sink in the bench seat, which sometimes makes for an uncomfortable postion. Recommend that you sit at the tables. Always a wonderful dining experience. I've never been disappointed. It is so nice to see a family run business. This restraurant truly contributes to our community. I'm always excited to recommend this establishment. Thank you for great service and great food! I would recommend reservations...the lot is always filled...but what else would you expect from such a great place! July 7 Reservations for 6 adults, 4 kids. Drinks and appetizers served ingod time. Dinner, we watched as others who came in after us were served. Delay grows, waitress apologizes, delay longer, waitress wrings her hands, meals arrive. My Devonshire was cold and the cheese scummed over, a couple other meals also had been sitting,a blackened steak that was to be rare was burned black, no saesonings and cooked thoroughly. Returned Devonshire, it was nuked and returned, I questioned it and was told it was remade,in 5 minutes? As for the blackened steak, "how else would you do it?" Portions much smaller than normal, saw another couple with a problem. Even the waitress stated there had been complaints tonight. I asked if the chef was new and told no, I do not believe that. I was approached by a manager?, ans asked if everytrhing was okay. I responded "No" and explained, she left and never returned. Teddy's had always been one of our favorites but no more there are too many other good restaurants in the area. I was not offered anyting for what I considered the poorest meals I've ever received at Teddy's. They have lost thier quality. I did find out the next day Teddy's is under new ownership! I don't know if that is true, but it would answer the question of "what happened to Teddy's?" We will not be returning. This is not the original Teddy's by a longshot! my family loves to dine here!!!! I very good Restaurant to eat at. One word, EXCELLENT!!!!!!!!!
