Rescue 8 has provided prehospital services to the North Huntingdon community since 1960. With a staff of 19 full time Paramedics and E. M. T.'s, and supported with over 40 part time and volunteer personnel, Rescue 8 staffs 5 Advanced Life Support ambulances, as well as operating a heavy rescue unit, and a wheelchair van service. The Training Center at Rescue 8 conducts CPR and First Aid classes to the community in addition to Continuing Education programs to local Emergency Services.
