Dr. Carla Capozzi of North Huntingdon and member of the Women’s Business Network (WBN) was nominated as the Norwin Chapter’s “Wondrous Woman of 2006”. Each of the 16 WBN chapters located across Southwestern Pennsylvania nominated a woman to receive this honor. The recipient’s chosen demonstrate excellence and leadership in their business. Dr. Capozzi has owned and operated her own practice in Penn Township for the past 15 years. She and her staff of 8 see children and adults in for comprehensive orthodontic treatment, management of dentofacial growth and development, and temporomandibular disorders. In addition she also provides orthodontic care in three general dental practices in North Huntingdon, Greensburg and White Oak. Carla is a member of the Norwin Chamber of Commerce and on the Board of the Penn Township Business and Professional Association. She is married with two sons ages 13 and 9. The “Wondrous Women” were honored at the organizations Fall Networking Event held on October 17th at the Beaver Lakes Country Club in Hopewell Township. Congresswoman Melissa Hart attended and presented each nominee with a Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition for outstanding and invaluable service to the community. Women’s Business Network has approximately 300 members and provides an environment of support and assistance for entrepreneurial and established women-owned businesses.
